Free online file converter: choose the right tool
Use the converter cards on this page to create a more convenient version of a document or image. Choose the card that matches the direction you need, select a supported file from your device, and start the conversion. When the tool finishes, save the result to your device. The available options cover common PDF and image tasks, along with best-effort document conversions.
Convert a PDF to PNG or JPEG
Use PDF to PNG or PDF to JPEG when you need an image of a PDF page—for example, to share a preview or place a page in another document. These tools export the first page only. If your PDF has several pages, the remaining pages are not included in the image output, so check that the first page contains the material you want. PNG is useful when you want a crisp image; JPEG is a widely supported image format.
Turn a PNG or JPEG image into a PDF
Choose PNG to PDF for a .png image, or JPEG to PDF for a .jpg or .jpeg image. The converter places the selected picture into a PDF document that you can save and share. These tools are designed for image files, not for combining several images into one multi-page document. Check that you chose the right image before converting, and keep the original if you may need to edit or reuse it later.
What to expect from Word and Excel tools
The PDF to Word tool extracts text into a Word-compatible file, while PDF to Excel arranges extracted PDF text lines in an Excel-compatible spreadsheet. Word to PDF accepts DOC, DOCX, or text files; Excel to PDF accepts XLS, XLSX, or CSV files. These are best-effort browser conversions: they can be useful for simple files, but they do not recreate every original page layout. Complex tables, columns, fonts, images, charts, headers, and spacing may be changed or omitted. Review the downloaded file before relying on it.
How file processing works
The conversion tools process selected files in your browser; the converter does not upload the files to its own server to perform these conversions. Your browser loads the required conversion libraries from their providers, then handles the selected file and creates the downloadable result on your device. Processing time can depend on the size and complexity of a file and on your device. If a conversion does not complete, try a smaller or simpler file and make sure the file is not damaged or password-protected.
Tips for a better result
Start with a clear, readable source file and select the matching input format shown on the tool. For PDF-to-image conversion, open the PDF first and confirm that the page you need is page one. For image-to-PDF conversion, check the image orientation and resolution before choosing it. For Word or Excel files, simplify complex layouts where possible and compare the output with the original. Keep a copy of your source file, because the downloaded conversion is a new file and may not preserve every detail.
All File Converter Tools
Image conversions happen locally. Word and Excel tools use best-effort browser extraction and may not preserve complex layouts, tables, fonts or images.
